Though this site was created primarily to serve as a portfolio for my work and an online resume it also has many other functions. Chief among these other functions is this site's duty as a digital sandbox for experimentation. Currently the look and feel of this site is dictated by the date. Each morning a script is run that sets the colors and graphics for the site based on an algorithm that uses the date and table of seasonal colors to produce what you see here. The end result is that the stark browns and whites of winter version of this site will wash away into the lighter blues and greens of spring which, in turn, will blossom into the vibrant colors of summer only to fade back into autumn. All of this will happen gradually and without any involvement on my part save to set it in motion. Of course, this will also allow for some poor color combinations to be on display here. Additionally seanmonahan.org performs as a photo album of and for friends and family, a notebook of ideas and projects and a listing of my current interests.
